Education Should Not End When Life Is Disrupted
For many children, the greatest barrier to education is not a lack of ability or desire to learn. It is the circumstances surrounding their lives.
Persecution, displacement, migration, poverty, limited educational infrastructure, language barriers, and lack of access to technology can interrupt a child’s education for months or even years.
United Glow Foundation exists to help close that gap.
We are developing a structured digital education program for Christian children affected by persecution, Iranian and Afghan refugee children, and other underserved students whose access to consistent schooling has been disrupted or restricted.
Our approach goes beyond simply providing online lessons. United Glow combines quality academic instruction, qualified teachers, digital learning, technology and connectivity support, mentoring, family engagement, student well-being, and measurable academic progress.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, United Glow plans to begin with an initial cohort of 100 students, including 35 Christian children affected by persecution in Iran and 65 vulnerable Iranian and Afghan children, including refugees and children from underserved communities.
Our goal is simple but significant:
Help children continue learning when circumstances have interrupted their education.
Because where a child lives, what a family has endured, or what resources they can afford should not determine whether that child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and prepare for the future.
Timeline
01. Idea Formation
The idea of founding an online school for Persian-speaking children who were unable to continue their education was born, with a focus on children affected by migration, poverty, or family circumstances.
02. Research and Planning
We studied students’ educational needs and designed the overall school structure, including age groups, grade levels, subjects, and the online learning model.
03. Curriculum Design
A curriculum was developed for preschool through fifth grade, including core subjects such as math, English, Persian, science, social skills, and art.
04. Website and Platform Development
The school website and educational platform were designed and launched so students could access classes and assignments easily.
05. Educational Team Preparation
Teachers, volunteers, and support staff were organized and trained to prepare for the launch of classes.
06. Platform Expansion
The online learning platform and bilingual content in Persian and English were prepared to support student access to classes and homework.
07. Student Registration
Registration began, and around 20–25 students from vulnerable and refugee families were selected for the pilot phase.
08. Pilot Phase Launch
Pilot classes began with a limited number of students to evaluate teaching quality, interaction, and system performance.
09. Growth and Expansion
The next goal is to increase the number of students, attract more supporters, and expand educational services to more children worldwide.
